Master's Degree Programme in Bioinformatics
Welcome to study Bioinformatics at the University of Turku!
The University of Turku in cooperation with the University of Tampere started a two-year Master's Degree Programme in Bioinformatics in September 2006. The programme offers interdisciplinary education in bioinformatics. Therefore applicants can be from both biological and computational fields. Our mission is to educate "bilingual" experts, in terms of combined knowledge of information technology and biosciences.
Educational cooperation between two Finnish Universities
The programme covers different aspects of bioinformatics and is managed by two universities in Finland: the University of Tampere (Institute of Biomedical Technology) and the University of Turku (Department of Information Technology). As an equal cooperation of these participating units, the programme offers fundamental knowledge of :- Algorithms in Bioinformatics
