How to Apply?
The application period was 1 December 2011 - 31 January 2012 for studies starting in September 2012
All the application documents are preprocessed at University Admissions Finland. University Admissions Finland evaluates eligibility and authenticity of educational certificates. This includes e.g. contacting applicant’s previous educational institution and the language test organiser. All application documents (including language test results) must arrive at University Admissions Finland by the deadline. Applications arriving after the deadline are not considered. After preprocessing, all applications are forwarded to the universities, where the contents of the complete applications are evaluated and the admission decisions are made.
Information on how the applications are processed is detailed here.
Admitted applicants graduating after the application deadline. A certified copy of the original degree certificate (in the original language), and an English, Swedish of Finnish translation, must arrive at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences by 31 July 2012 at 16:15 (local time in Finland).
Admission decisions
All applicants who submitted their application by deadline will be notified about the decision concerning their applications. The letters are posted by regular air mail on 2 April 2012, and on that day the names of the admitted students will be published on this web page (concerns only those applicants who have given their consent to the publication of their names).
Prospective applicants
The application period for studies starting in September 2013 will be announced later.
Information about degree requirements, language requirements and required enclosures can be found in the Admission Requirements for 2012. Please read carefully the language requirements (all applicants must prove their knowledge of English language in one of the ways accepted by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences).
Please sign up for the language test as soon as possible! In order to be able to take the language test early enough, sign-ups must be made at least 2-3 months before the planned test date or even 4 months if the test is going to be taken in January. Notice that the test results must reach the University Admissions Finland by the application deadline.
